Virginia Beach,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

In regards to William in Herndon, you are correct, as an ex-employee I often questioned why Geicos sales dept. Would require an inspection but not tell the customer, they would send out paperwork supposedly with the info inside and expect the customer to find it in there somehow. Manytimes the inspection sites that were sent out no longer do GEICO inspections and if they do the can take weeks to get the information in to GEICO. Then of course lets talk training, many of the GEICO customer service agents do not know where to look for the info. and/or cannot access the info as they do not have the code or password and have to go to a supv. to look it up in which case they are better off just making you get re-inspected as they only have a matter of minutes to get you on and off the phone or they can be fired themselves. Then of course, if you can prove you had the insp. done, they backdate the coverage and state that since you had the insp. done on that date they were covering you since then. Lies!! I have seen many times where claims denied the claim stating it is the customers fault for not calling the insp. in. I am an ex-employee as of 02-08-2006 and also have my own ripoff report on here in regards to GEICO

Sounds to me like you got a quote started a policy and needed full coverage on your vehicle. Since you were in a lapse of insurance, they requested an inspection because GEICO doesn't usually request inspection on new vehicles or vehicles coming from a dealership. After they did not receive the inspection paperwork for you to have full coverage, they took off comprehensive and collision. Your finance company noticed you don't have comprehensive and collision which is part of the agreement you signed with them and they sent you a letter. For new customers, the initial payment is 25% of the six month premium and takes care of the first month. The rest of your payments depend on which payment plan you choose. Three months after the inspection, after you have been paying for liability most of the time with no questions, your wondering why you the difference in cost of liability and full coverage. Well, you didn't pay for it. You proved you did the inspection, now you don't want to pay for the coverage. If something happened you would have wanted them to pay for it. Now your policy cancelled for non payment. Did you know that you were paying less than what you were quoted for full coverage those three months? Please tell us what you were quoted for full coverage for six months and what you paid each month starting with the first month. I'm sorry if the tone sounds rude, from the post the above is just the impression I get with knowing how insurance works.
