Between 1999 and 2003 General Motors Knew about a problem with the rear energency brake clips that hold the shoes in place. I recently found that General Motors knew about the problem and designed a new style clip in 2004. Due to the bad design between 1999 and 2003 the clip would break causing 1000.00 (+) damages to the rear breaking system. The defected part will cause the rear end axle bearing to leak causing a possible fire hazard,.
