I called Genesis because of the reviews on their website, which I later learned are obviously fraudulant. To start, the appointment was supposed to be with Jeff, one of the owners. Instead, a tech showed up an hour late, after several phone calls to ask me for directions. He then began quoting me prices that were signifcantly higher than those on the website. I had to actually get on my computer and show him his own website in order for him to honor those prices. Since we have lighter carpet, he recommended a strong hydrogen peroxide solution to "brighten" our carpet. He rushed through the process and "cleaned" our 2900 square foot home in under an hour, which was my first concern. The carpets were not just damp but SOAKED, taking well over 24 hours to dry. The living and dining area were horrible - as the carpets dried, they started looking blotchy with big spots that looked to be bleached out. I called back and spoke to Jeff, the owner, who agreed to come to our home by 5pm and take a look. Once again, he sent his tech instead. I insisted to see Jeff, as I wanted his "professional opinion" of the damage done to my carpet. Jeff finally showed up an hour and a half later and was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional from the moment I opened the door. It was clear he did not want to be there, much less have any interest in my damaged carpet. He used many excuses for the blotchy white spots - shadows and lighting in the room, old carpet (it's only a couple years old), cheap carpet (it's a nice Berber), high/low traffic areas, etc. He cleaned the area again and it was immediately clear that the white bleached out spots were not going away. I asked him if it could be from the hydrogen peroxide solution the tech put on my floor. He insisted they did not use any hydrogen peroxide. When I pointed out that the tech TOLD me he used it, then later told me he had to make sure to "get it out quick" so it wouldn't bleach the carpet, he told me I was lying. This very unprofessional man yelled at me and insulted me in my home, in front of my children. At one point he told me if I didn't have any before pictures to prove his guy did the damage, I was screwed. We have NEVER had an issue like this with a carpet cleaning service in the past, much less HORRIBLE customer service and a company that refuses to stand behind their work. Not only did he refuse to take accountability for what his tech did and offer to replace the carpet in that one room, he would not even discount the $300 he charged us. And to top things off, they posted a FAKE TESTIMONIAL from me on their website, stating how happy I was with their services. STAY AWAY.
