David Nachum who is the owner of Genie Rug Cleaning Services picked up my Oriental rug on 12/1/11 to clean a small urine stain about 4 inches wide made by my dog. I found Mr. Nachum through the Money Mailers coupon program. He charged me in advance $174. and said he would have no problem removing the pet stain as they wash the rugs by hand and have many years of experience.
After three weeks I tried to call him to find out where my rug was. He did not return my calls so I started looking at the invoice he gave me and found an address on it (there was no address on his business card or invoice so luckily I asked him to write it down on the invoice). When searching the internet for this address I found it to be of another rug cleaning company Oriental Rug Care. I called that number and they knew Mr. Nachum and would have him call me.
When we finally spoke he said the rug came out beautiful and he would come on Friday to deliver it. He did not show up on Friday and again I had to hunt him down through the Oriental Rug Care company. A week later he came to bring the rug and the colors had run into the white part of the rug............the small pet stain was gone. Of course, I was upset that my carpet looked ruined. He told me he would fix it and took it again to attempt to undo the damage.
He called me a few days later to tell me he was sending it to a special company that deals with this problem and it was in Denver Colorado. It was the only company in the country to do this work.
Three weeks later I had to call him again and ask when I was going to get my rug back. He tells me that it is finally done and it looks fantastic. However, when he delivers the rug instead of the previous running of color into the white of the rug, there was no color at all on the rug. In other words my rug was completely colorless.
When I told him how upset I was and asked him how he could fix my now completely ruined handmade rug from Turkey, he stormed out of my house telling me he didn't give a d**n what I did.
I wrote him and called him and called the company in Colorado, Mann Carpet Cleaning to try to have them pay for the damaged rug and no one returned my calls. I finally kept calling Mann Carpet Cleaning and spoke to the owner and he emphatically stated he was not responsible, that David Nachum was. So far a month later and no one has offered to reimburse me for my rug.

If you look under the corporate documents filed in the State of Florida you will see that Jamie Ferrelli is the owner or part owner of Genie Rug Cleaning Services and Oriental Rug Cleaning by Hand. Also the address listed on the invoice of Genie Rug Cleaning Services is the same address as that of Oriental Rug Cleaning by Hand. Therefore, I have addressed the issue to both owners.

I am the owner of Genie Rug Cleaning Services. I did contract with Ms. Knusden to clean her Soumak rug not a Tibeten rug as she claims. When I went to her home and provided her my professional evaluation of the rug, she let me know that the rug had pet urine in it. We do an extensive decontamination of rugs with urine which has a very high PH. As it states on our contract, we are not responsible for color fading of the rug as it goes through the process. Any professional rug cleaner with experience with Soumak,Tibeten rugs and all rugs from all regions, they can advise that these rugs are susceptible to this type of wear especially when the rug has been urine stained. As an extra step and an out of pocket expense to me, we sent the rug to a rug specialist in Denver to evaluate any solutions possible to bring the color back to the rug. Ms. Knudsen became extremely difficult to communicate with at that point. My company cannot be held responsible for the quality of her rug as we are not the manufacturer or maker of the rug. Furthermore, she has continued to pursue other businesses of which have nothing to do with her as an attempt to receive retribution for a rug in which at no point through the rug cleaning process was destroyed. Ms. Knudsen contracted with my company and was provided with that written contract stating clearly the conditions of the rug and the possibility of color fading. It is never our desire to see any rug we cleaned to be altered, however we cannot be held responsible for the alteration of the rug when it has been compromised due to staining and everyday use. At this point, I feel this report should be removed from your website immediately as it is unjust and with no merit. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am the owner of Oriental Rug Cleaning by Hand. I feel it necessary to remove my company name from this report due the fact that my business has nothing to do with this person's allegations. My business, Oriental Rug Cleaning by Hand is not mentioned at all in any of the accusations being made nor is there any contract between my company, Oriental Rug Cleaning by Hand and this person. It is defamatory to my business and I wish to see it removed immediately.
