Gerald E. Moore And Associates misuse of funds,phone harassment, making so called deals for payment that never happens Ripoff Marietta Georgia
This company called me back in april of 06,in ref. to a bank of america visa card.
I made a deal with one person there(Mario Macintosh) to take 200.00 out of my account every month.
I have been paying for a little over a year total of 2500.00.
He then called me a couple of times saying he went to the court
and that he got 700.00 dropped but that he needed 300.00 now to
make it work. He took the 300.00 out of my account.
So then he said that i owed 1000.00 dollars left on my account. Since then I have paid 600.00 more .
Now All of a sudden Gerald Moore and associates called me yesterday (3/23/07) and he tells me that I still owe 1700.00 to the account. I said no I dont that Mr. Macintosh made a deal with the court and I only owe 400.00
He told me that Macintosh does not work here anymore because of he misused funds, and that he did not write any notes on my account as to the deals he made me.
So therefore you still owe us 1700.00 dollars and we now need 283.00 a month.
I told him that it is not my fault you have bad employees. He said he could not help it,and will take me to court.
Since that phone call I researched the co. on the internet and found out that they have many complaints on them for scams and ripoffs ect. I have stopped payment to them. Please whoever reads this. DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY OF ANY KIND.
If there is a class actiopn suit against them, count me in please.

I don't know how much this will help, but close your checking account right away, File a complaint with your bank and fill out Federal Reg. Form 'E'. Unless they have a tape or something in writting form you to take all the extra money out, then they shouldn't have done it and they can not produce anything. File a detailed complaint with the Georgia bar assoc. and the attorney general in your home state and their's. Collection lawyer must follow the FDCPA and who ever the collection company there collecting for can be held liable for there actions. A first party collection agency can be held liable for the actions of a second party go to bub hibbs web site and you can read all sorts of stories on this so called attorney and staff. If they told you they went to court, demand a copy of the paperwork, we both know its a lie. You don't need a class action suit against these guys, from what you written they violated so many laws, they should be paying you, but proving it another thing, but you must get with your bank ASAP to reverse the charges. good luck
