getaroom.com GETAROOM.COM Scammed me with outrageous fees
I went online to make a reservation with a hotel in Killeen, Texas (Shilo Inn). I was first directed to a third party site and looked for the hotel's direct website since I do not reserve through a third party. What I thought was the hotel's direct site was actually getaroom.com. I discovered this after I booked a room and was charge over 50% in taxes and fees!
I questioned getaroom.com and they stated that was their price for their service. I cancelled the reservation and went directly to the hotel where I paid the same price, but without the fees. I saved $80.00 by going through the hotel directly. Getaroom.com appears to me to be a scam!
