I received a Visa gift card as a present.  It was packaged in cardboard which was extremely difficult to open.  I cut on the simulated scissor marks and still could not extract the card.  As a result, little by little, I cut closer and managed to extract the Visa card!  The end of the card was also snipped and a small portion of the magnetic stripe.  I returned to Walgreens, with the sales slip and ALL portions of the card but they REFUSED to do anything except have me call the issuing company GIFT2 GO.  I contacted GIFT2GO and they replied with an email saying they would replace the card for an additional fee of $5.00 over and above the $4.95 COST of the card initially!  The card is in the amount of $30 so the total fee would end up more than 30% in cost.  I replied to the email saying I would file a report with Ripoff Report rather than send them and additional $5.00 for replacement.  I think WALGREENS is responsible for replacing the card since the purchase was made there.  I filed a complaint with WALGREENS and have not heard back from them......wonder why??
