Giove Law Offices Calling neighborsstrangers and landlords. Williamsville New York
I have not personally been contacted by the Giove Law Offices, but my landlord called a month ago and told me they called her looking for me. I called and talked with a rep. I requested information on the alledged debt. I received nothing. I also gave them my address and home phone. NOTHING!
Now I get a call from a neighbor who happens to have a last name I used to have, and they said that Giove Law Office is looking for me? Again I call and they at least gave me a file number. I still can't get any more information from them.
I contacted an attorney and he said to send a letter of request to not be contacted and that should work. He also said that the practice of calling neighbors and landlords was against the law, but most people don't have the funds to sue such companies.
Something has to be done! This is a bother to me, but I don't lose sleep over it. I can't imagine how this affects some people. It could make them suicidal!!?

Go to www.budhibbs.com and look up Giove Law Firm. There is a link that shows them (or whatever incarnation they are now) in bankruptcy. Not sure how this affects your situation, but FYI.

they have a complete history on these bottomfeeders that break laws. They have a dedicated website just for this one law-breaking company! READ DEBT COLLECTORS EXPOSED!

OMG, THESE COLLECTORS ARE OUT OF CONTROL. I THINK WE SHOULD CONTACT THE STATE BAR AND MAKE THEM AWARE THAT THESE LAWYERS ARE USING ILLEGAL TACTICS.
