I went and had pictures done for my fiance at a glamour shots in Hawthorne California. The manager-Brandy Crow was putting together a package for me. I ordered one 8x10, and two 5x7. She asked if I wanted proofs and I said yes-she said no problem. She did not tell me she would charge me $125.00 for them and this charge did not appear on my bill. She went on to charge me for glam-touch (airbrushing) for each sheet for $75.00 when I never said I wanted it and she never asked me. When she charged me I saw one total sum of 427.59. I was fine with the price because I thought that's how much the photos cost. I would not have approved of it if I had known I was going to be charged for items I did not want to pay for! I called up the manager the next day after thinking about the price that seemed so high and asked her if she charged me for proofs. She said 50.00 only.(Later I found out through an employee that she charged me 125.00)! I asked her after looking at the bill closer why she charged me for glam touch when I never said I wanted it. She said she thought I wanted it! On the bill it said :There are no refund. Store credit only. If for any reason you are not happy we will gladly retake your portraits or exchange them for a nominal fee. When I went to see the pictures that were ready I said I was unhappy with the pictures. I was willing to pay the small nominal fee and wanted to have them done over without the glam touch. I wanted store credit for the glam touch and for the proofs that I was billed for since I was under the assumption from the manager that they were free. She refused and said that I could get a different pose but I couldn't get store credit on anything. I pointed out the bill and she said that she would lose money if she gave me store credit since the lab wouldn't reinburse her for the removal of the glam touch. That's not my problem. Their policy states that if I'm unhappy I can get store credit! She has ignored my phone calls. When I call the store her employees have been rude and refuse to let me talk to her. I also called up the owner of that store Laura Marcus several times and have not recieved any phone call from her either.
