I am writing this review in hopes that other customers will steer clear of this establishment!!!! My husband and I went in to Glenbrook Hyundai to look at a used toyota corrolla. While working with Mr. Stuckey we came to a agreement of 2900.00, for this used car. We stated this is the top price we will pay including taxes etc. Mr. Stuckey then said we can do that. he drew up paper work. When my husband realized the price on the car was now 3400.00 he asked mr stuckey to fix the errror in which he said he would. come to find out after sighning papers he did not fix it.( My husband being the trusting man he is trusted Mr. stuckey to fix the issue). Basically this company has done nothing to try to fix this issue and told us there is nothing we can do about it because my husband signed the papers. I have never worked with such scamming liars in my life and would strongly urge others to not purchase any vehichle from this company!!! Mr Stuckey then lied and said my husband didnt catch anything and never brought it to his attention!!! All of this was said while on speaker phone! i was truely sickend by Mr. Stuckey and the lie he had just told! I had tried to talk to the General Manager Mr. Mckibben and also got no where with him, he said it was a he said she said situation.  Mr. Mckibben was not willing to work with us to resolve this situation.  To make matters worse they had debited my account for 1000.00 when they were only supposed to take 500.00 for a down payment.  This is now going on the third day my money hasent been refunded!! We never got anything resolved and they refuse to fix the problem. I am now going to go online to all of my social networking sights to make sure all of my friends and family know just how Glenbrook Hyuandai does business. And for other information you can look up in public records about some of their employees who have bad back ground records. These are the types of people they hire to sell you a car!!! Very disappointed in this company I will be writing the head company of Hyundai!

Apparently you are in total denial this could have been 100% avoided!  How?  The COMMON SENSE method....YOU READ the contract BEFORE signing.  You say you discovered this "only two days" after you signed the contract as if that means something.  It means EVERYTHING because its a direct admission of your husband's mistake!  Then you go on nit picking about all these other allegations regarding the dealer as if all that, even if it is true, makes your husband's actions completely vanish.

The bottom line is this dealer as well as every dealer should operate with top integrity and top honesty.  We as customers need to operate with top common sense and read each and every document placed before us BEFORE signing it.

The dealer indeed tricked you guys.  You guys allowed it.

Well Mr. Martin I have to agree with you on one part.  It was my husbands downfall to to TRUST Mr. Stuckey in promising to change the amount.  And yes he should have double checked the paperwork!  But this is Glenbrook Hyundai and not some fly by night side of the road used dealer!  We (he) expected to be treated fairly.  This did not happen.  After doing some research on the computer I found some very public information about Mr. Stuckey and his lieing ways.  His name is posted all over the internet.  He had scammed tons of money and was indicted on several fraud charges in the morgtage industry.  I wish we would have known this is the type of people Glenbrook Hyundai hires because we would have never gone there to purchase a vehicle from them.  We cought the mistake only 2 days after the signing and they still were not willing to compromise.  In my book my husband was too trusting in this man and has since learned his lesson in dealing with SHADY people.  My Husband did read the paper work and caught it the first time.  He just trusted Mr. Stuckey to fix it like he said he would. Maybe you don't consider this Shady or scamming but in my book when a customer comes in and purchases a vehicle from your company and YOUR salesman Promises a price and then in a Shady manner fudge prices, you as that manager are responsible for your employees behavior.  This is the whole reason we steered clear of buy here pay here dealership.  WE expected more from this larger company.  All we got were lies!  The thing about it is this company had to have done a background check on there employees.  And Mr. Stuckey's past behavior would ( should) have given this company a sense of who he is. A LIAR.  This company obviously does not care who they hire to sell the public, cars from there dealership! Mr. Martin I am glad you had a good experience with this company maybe you dealt with a stand up salesman.  We did not. I still stand by what i wrote in my earlier post.  I would not recommend dealing with this company.  People who lie and managers who condone the behavior are not people you should do any purchasing from. I knew exactly what kind of person i was dealing with when we were on speaker phone and Mr. Stuckey straight up lied and said my husband never brought it to his attention!  The only wrong doing in my husband's part is being too trusting.  All it got him was ripped off.  Yes Mr. Martin my husband learned his lesson and will make sure next time he reads everything.  Its just too bad there are such parasites such as these men in the world.

If your husband knew the salesman wrote the papers up wrong the first time, he, your husband, should have known to make sure the price was fixed before signing anything.

We all know that used car salesmen have a reputation of "screwing" their customers, but you set yourselves up by not taking 2 extra seconds to check the price again before signing.  If the salesman has already tried to get me once, I looking for anything that may hint at him trying it a second time, if I stick around for him to try it again.

Matt Mckibben is usually a good guy, but there is nothing he would have been able to do.  He was not present at the time of the original attempt, nor was he at the table when your husband signed the papers.

You bought a Toyota at a Hyundai dealer, all the corporate executives are going to say is "there's nothing we can do about it."

I have bought all of my cars from the same lot and the same salesman for the past 10 years.  This is the same person my dad buys all of his from too.  Neither of us have ever felt taken advantage of.

It is your responsibility to read before you sign anything.
