Once we paid Global Moving and Storage the customer service stopped and nothing went to plan.  We had several main concerns for this report; late pick up with no customer service to rectify, over charged, and damaged or missing items.

The day that our house was supposed to be loaded on the truck Global Moving and Storage showed up at 5 pm to let us know that they are there to tag the items and that they were not going to load the truck until the following day.  If you use these guys (I do not recommend that you do), Make sure to take photos or video of all your belongings before they load the truck.  We had mattresses, couches, and chairs that looked like they were dragged through dirt and Global said that the condition of these items was existing.  These were items that never were outside before the move.

When we were waiting on the truck to arrive in Florida we received an email stating that the cost had increased two thousand dollars because of weight.  I asked for a weight ticket and it stated that the truck was full.  However, while loading the truck the operator said that they had another pickup before heading across the border and the truck didn't leave our last house full.    So, the company held our belonging ransom until we paid for the full truck.

Finally, we had several important items that were badly damaged due to the movers not protecting our belonging properly.  When we agreed to use Global they said that all important items would be cover with moving blankets.  During the offload of the truck I noticed that our $1500 dinning room table was not protected and had items rubbing on it for the entire trip, we had a glider chair that the arm was broken.  missing items, and the fabric furniture that looked like it had been dragged through the dirt.  We had pictures taken and the representative noted on the paperwork that these were damaged during the move.  However, because the items went into storage and we couldn't get a quote for repairs until we moved them again Global refused to pay the repair costs because we couldn't get them the estimate within three days.  And it took over a month just to get that response.
