I work for a competitor, and have know people who owned Global, as well as worked there. I am proud to say that no matter which travel club, or timeshare you have; it works if you use it! It saves you money if you travel. And it doesn't save you money if you stay home. If you cannot use a phone or computer to compare retail prices VS membership rates for weekly resort rentals, than don't complain. There is NOWHERE that you can get these rates for less. The only people who think they can travel for less, are those that compare budget motels to the resorts. That is not the same thing.
Nobody is ripping you off. You are going to presentations, with the intention to lie to the reps in order to qualify for free things. You don't care who gets fired for low quotas, as long as you get free things. And when you see something that looks great, and you buy it... you can't live with yourself, because you only wanted free things. In a moment of weakness, you actually PAID FOR SOMETHING.
Please do the public a favor; and stop criticizing programs which DO WORK, and stop calling them RIPOFFS. The buy now or pay more later is a consequense of getting PAID for listening to the presentation. You are getting CASH, AND VACATIONS, for attending, and that's why you must take it or leave it or pay more laters. Yes, no moochers may return!
If you want the freedom to buy later, WITH the discounts, then REFUSE the gift, so you can make your next visit the FIRST VISIT WITH INCENTIVES appointment!

WELL MR ROGER SIR,,The way i wrote it is the way it happened,no sugar coating & absolutely no exaggerations whatsoever, the woman i spoke with was nothing short of a pressure cooker who refused to take no for an answer & let me research the program before spending my cash,( YOU WOULD THINK IF IT'S LEGIT THEY WOULD UNDERSTAND OUR CONCERNS & GIVE US A FEW DAYS TO INVESTIGATE BEFORE INVESTING )SHE WAS VERY ADAMANT THAT THE PRICE WOULD BE SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER IF I DIDN'T ACT IMMEDIATELY,,THE OFFICE & CONFERENCE ROOM DID NOT HAVE A SINGLE COMPUTER & THE WHOLE OPERATION APPEARED READY TO BE SHUT DOWN AT A MOMENTS NOTICE,,AS FAR AS THE FREE OFFERS THEY SPOKE OF,AFTER THINKING ABOUT IT & HOW DISGUSTED I WAS,THEY SAT ON A TABLE UNTIL I FINALLY JUST THREW THEM AWAY FIGURING THERE WAS A CATCH IN THERE SOMEWHERE ALSO,,,AS I STATED BEFORE PEOPLE,,THE CHOICE IS YOURS TO MAKE,,I CHOSE TO USE MY $10,00.00 IN A BETTER WAY,,I BOUGHT A NEW CAR & DO MY VACATIONING IN THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES & PAY FOR WHAT I WANT,WHEN I WANT IT WITHOUT BEING STRAPPED TO ALL THE FEE'S THEY WANT TO CHARGE & FOR WHAT ? CONTACT THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU & DECIDE FOR YOURSELVES,,I OBVIOUSLY CHOSE TO AVOID THIS PLAN & IN MY MIND MADE THE CORRECT DECISION FOR ME !

Ok look, I don't know who these people are that claim Global is too good to be true, or a scam, or whatever. But it's my personal opinion that these jokers just couldn't afford the membership and they feel so bad about themselves that they feel the need to slam a great company.
This is ridiculous! I was told at the presentation Global has over 150,000 members all around the world. How could a company be in business this long with this many members if they absolutely lied to everybody and made empty promises all day long. Wouldn't there be people rioting outside the store? When I went to the presentation I didn't see anybody with a sign on a stick!
Having this membership allowed me to see the Carribean for the first time, allowed me to see Cabo san Lucas for the first time and allowed me to take all of my girlfriends to Vegas for the first time. We're talking about three huge week long trips here where I saved at least $3000 per trip!!! I'm no rocket scientist or anything but, you tell me, does this make sense to you?
Thanks Global!!!

September 2007, Ann Arbor, Michigan: My wife and I in our upper 30's attended the Global Vacation Network seminar. We were both very skeptical and synical. My wife had been in the car sales business 17 yrs at the time we went, she has heard and seen it all. We are a middle class blue collar family of 4 struggling to survive in Michigan's auto industry. My wife had been out of work a year when we went. We HAD no extra money to waste. Our marriage was on the rocks, divorce was on the horizon and been discussed. Our end result? WONDERFUL! The bad? The travel services is not a deal, the part where they can get you airline reservations, etc. Not any better than Orbitz. But the direct buying service, the vacation destinations and the cruises are all legit. The experience we had was not pressured. The sales guy was not pushy, didn't give the "let me talk to my manager" speel or anything else shady. They moved us into a private office for an hour for my wife and I to discuss if we should do it or not. We had to decide if we do "this", who will get it if we split. The salesman came back once, asked if we had questions, addressed them and brought us some waters. Very very patient man. The final purchase was a "2" Star Credits package with minimal overhead. We paid a little over $3000 and have a $389 a year fee. Which is NOT mandatory if you don't plan to travel that year. We were shown the destinations. given access to their website in that office to surf around and see how we would look up and book vacations. Explained the history of the company and how they function. I left the deposit with a Credit Card and set up on the payment plan. This allowed me to get home, investigate the company, and contest the charge if it was bogus. Well, I didn't contest it and paid in full when the first bill came. Our first trip was to Orlando for Disney. We were so worried about what to expect. This was out first REAL family vacation. Everything was smooth as silk. Awesome condo in Kissimmee for 8 days at $96. 4 miles from Disney World. Always made up during the day, snacks left everyday, nice bedding, linens, etc. We spent $1900 with airfare, park passes and rental car for a week in Orlando using Global. After we returned we received a phone call and a letter both thanking us and asking for feedback on our experience. That sounds pretty legit to me. The freebies for attending? Definitely have to jump through hoops, but most people won't. They do not deny what they offer, just make it miserable to get, won't deny that. For 2009 we are going on a $550 per person cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to Mexico. 7 days, 3 people. Here we are, 1 1/2 yrs later. Marriage is back on track and excellant, always planning our next vacation and having fun. I think this opportunity was a blessing. It allowed a family otherwise falling apart to rediscover each other and move forward. The way I see it, I am one more trip away from breaking even with the money we have save thus far. And that's after 2 trips. Does it sound to good to be true? Yes, can't deny that. Can you get ripped off? Yup! I can see how. But when all is said and done, do you receive a service for your money? We did! An excellant one at that. Think of it like gym memberships. Many people pay and never go, which means the ones that do are getting the deals that are offered. Same with GVN. If you spend $2000-12,000 and never travel...THANK YOU! You are keeping my costs down.

I have been a happy member of the Global Vacation Network for 5 years now and have no complaints about the company. We did sit through the sales pitch and were happy with the way they presented it but the buy now or its to late to get the good deal was a bit pushy My husband and I have traveled traveled alot using the company and you cant beat the price on their expressway deals (they are the ones that are not booked within 30 days of travel) for $49 a week, We have stayed in nice places everytime, and when you pay your renewal fee every year, you get another vacation. We enjoy the deals we get and have several frienda and family members who have joined also. I would recomened this vacation package to anyone

This gentleman obviusly has nothing better to do with his time than to go to these presentations. He's probably the type of person that doesn't go anywhere. The only way he can afford to go somewhere is to listen to a presentation to get a free gift. Here's a word of advice...stop going to those presentations! Get a life! You can't tell me Global Vacation Network is a ripoff because I was able to take my son deep sea fishing in Florida before he reported to duty in Iraq to serve his country! Global put our family in a beautiful condo so we could spend time together before he went off to protect your right to go to these presentations!! oh yea they also put me in a condo in Hawaii so I could see my newborn grandson. I would not have been able to go to Hawaii without Global. The sales reps were very courteous and did not pressure us at all...their program makes sense and we are so glad we decided to travel with them because do we save a fortune on our vacations, we don't ever have to go to another timeshare presentation ever again! I'm sure the person who wrote that stuff must like going to timeshare presentations. Try this...why don't you stop going to presentations and take your family somewhere bigshot!!

I am a member of global vacation network. My wife and I have taken two vacations every year for the last four years. Each vacation we have taken has been better than the last. The condos have been great, clean and right in the middle of the action(not twenty miles away-Las Vegas,Branson,New Orleans, etc). We thought it was to good to be true, but this is the greatest thing that could of happened to us at this time in our lives. The kids are gone and we are traveling. This club makes it affordable and really enjoyable.
