Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Never in my life have I felt the need to blast a company online. It's damaging and most mistakes are forgiveable. But this poor excuse for a business doesn't deserve my pity or restraint. Without a doubt, the monopoly this wretched company maintains over our small town is the worst part about living here. The cost of water is ridiculous and there's no way around it. What truly makes this company disgusting, however, is the way they choose to treat people. Aside from taking more than their fair share of profits for providing something as essential as water, these crooks are irresponsible and heartless when it comes to disconnecting services.

While I don't deny that missing a payment is my own fault, the swiftness with which they send someone over to disconnect service rivals that of an injury lawyer at the scene of an accident. With no discernable difference from any other letter they send, they quietly inform customers of a disconnect in the most sly and archaic way. God forbid you miss that letter because the water goes off without a call, email or online account warning. When they do turn off your water, it occurs in the late afternoon so you run a bigger risk of accruing the $30 "after hours" fee on top of the $70 reactivation fee. And despite paying the bill on the morning of the deactivation, which a customer service rep can easily pull up, they disconnect anyways claiming you should have called when you paid despite there being nothing to indicate that on the website at the point of payment.

In order to get your water turned back on, you have to spend 15 minutes on the phone with a classless and uncaring representative and listen while they hunt and peck at a keyboard to type an email to the service team.

Again, I understand that missing a bill is my fault. Even though it was a payroll issue that kept me from getting my money to pay my infuriatingly high bill, I take responsiblity for that. Unfortunately, Global Water leaves no room for mistakes.

Global Water, not that I think you care in the slightlest what happens to your customers, your service proves that much, but sending a piece of mail that looks like every other piece of garbage you send, is hardly enough to alert customers that a primary function in their home is about to go away. A small line of red text in my customer account indicating that I needed to call your customer service line would have been all it took to keep this review offline.

Considering I have no choice other than to continue using your service, this is the only option I have since your service survey recording cuts me off. I hope one day you get run out of town and an ethical company takes your place.
