Globalinx Rip-off consumer fraud Internet McLean Virginia
When I noticed the charge of $49.95 on my bank statement I called the company that charged it, which was Globalinx. I spoke with a gentlemen and was given a confirmation number for a refund. I waited a month and a half before calling back in October of 2002. I was told at that time that they were backed up and the refund shuld be out anyday.
When I didn't get a refund approx a month later I tried calling back and got a message that they were having phone problems and to try back later. I tried everyweek for approx 3 weeks. I got the same message. They owe me money for something I didn't even know we had purchased by clicking the cancel button on a pop-up while on-line. I not even sure how they got my checking account information. This is scary.
