A rep from this "company" called representing Hilton vacation properties.  I have taken several vacations in the past with Hilton and Marriott vacation clubs with great success, so at first I thought it was one of those contacting me.  They offer (2) 5 Day/4 Night Vacation Packages, one at a domestic US Hotel and a second at a Carribean Resort.  Once of the packages is transferrable to another party.  Part of the proceed they say go to the charity of your choice and they list off several from a website titled coursesforacause.org.  The send a confirmation e-mail which I will post the format below.  They charged my credit card within 15 minutes of the call ending.  They do not answer the phone or respond to e-mail requests.  Their Website is registered in the WhoIS database through an LLC that provides privacy shielding of the actual owner.  The charity site coursesforacause.org does not answer phone calls and there address on Google Street Map view shows as a UPS Store in an Orlando Strip mall.  I got scammed and am posting this so you may avoid the same thing.  I am pretty sharp, but they got me hook line and sinker...  I should have known if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.

Dear Poster,

The numbers you were called from 305-340-6253 and 305-440-0195 do exactly what you say they do but they are not affliated with globalx or courses for a cause. I am wondering if you called global x and they sent you a informative email about what you would recieve upon booking and then you recieved another call from another vacation fullfillment center and booked with them. According to the email it was a transaction of 498.00 on a discover card with a feb 22 date. We checked all transactions in and around the the 22nd and there is no 498 dollar transaction on a discover card. Your billing statement must read courses for a cause or you did not use global x as your fullfillment company. Please email us back at [email protected] right away as we are also concerned someone is using our namesake and selling vacations without authorization. Global x is the only company currently helping us with this vacation donation promotion.

Courses for a cause will definitely help yuou resolve what ever problem you are having so please again email us at [email protected]

I am a volunteer at  Courses for a Cause. You are correct that the 7512 Dr. Phillips Drive address is a ups store. That is where we  receive our  mail. Our office is located in Orlando Florida at 8865 Commodity Circle off John Young Parkway.

I can not speak to global X and how they go about conducting their business but we do receive proceeds from every vacation package  so we can fund the various charities we work with. This is a limited time fundraising event for us. Our main purpose as outlined in our mission statement is to collect donated rounds of golf and auction them off for charity and we have total control of that process from begining to end. PLease contact me  I will talk with them immmediately about what has happened I will assure you that this is not a scam I don't know what is wrong with the phone I tried the 407-745-1115 and 407-574-4421 and it does go to customer service at global x. Why a call is not being returned is not adding up. Please email me and I will give you more info that I have to contact someone at global x and we will get this resolved. Please get ahold of us right away.

Please email me at [email protected]

They called me back again tonight...   Gotta keep your scam lists in order so you don't call back someone you already scammed again...   This was the exact wording of the new caller "I am calling in regards to your past travels with the Hilton.  We would like to offer you a 5 Day / 4 Night vacation package at 80% off the retail rate.  It includes several all-inclusive locations in the Carribean.  Question?  Have to ever traveled All-Inclusive before?  Response - I have not had the pleaseure of doing that yet.  He proceeds to tell me how great it is.  I was running out the door and asked if they could call me back or better yet, what # could I reach them at.  They stated that if I called back in I would only get 20% off, so he needed to call me back to get the 80% off.  We will see if they call back...  They won't if they find this on ripoff report.  The number that they called from was 305-340-6253, when I call it back it says "You have reached your friends voicemail on "Text Me!" please leave a message after the beep and your friend will receive it within seconds."  For those unfamiliar with Text Me! is a free internet calling and texting app that is virtually untraceable visit , go-text.me/ for details.  The number that they called from 3 days ago was 305-440-0195.  This number just gets a busy signal.
