Globus Van Lines ripoff, scam artist, sexual harrasement, lies, outrageous charges, bogus charges, sub-contracts moves, dishonest Hollywood Florida
Globus Van Lines moving company is very unprofessional, unethical, and obviously a "PROFESSIONAL SCAM ARTIST".
My original moving quote was $1064.00. The final charges were for $2222.02. I moved from Florida to Tennessee.
Two men arrived to pack my belongings in a rented Penske truck. I had to pay them $550.00 with a cashier's check before they would do anything.
They started stuffing all my things in boxes including my futon mattres so that they could charge me more. The man in charge made sexually remarks to me the entire time.
All my furniture was 2 months old. They marked everything as scratched, dented,or bent.
When they were through packing. I was told to give them $300.00 in cash. I told him No. He then wanted to know what I was going to give him for a TIP. I told him I was going to call the police if he didn't leave me alone.
He then went to the truck and came back with my new bill. Double what my original quote was. I reported this incident the next day. No one every called me back.
After a week, I finally talked to the relocation director and asked her where my furniture was. She didn't know. A few days later, I talked to her again and was told that my furniture was in Chicago.
Two weeks later, my furniture arrived from Chicago in a bigger Penske truck. They had used sub contractors to deliver my furniture.
My NEW couch was MISSING! I received it three weeks later from Florida. It has water damage and blue stains all over my bisque couch. I paid $600.00 for my NEW couch.
I filed a claim with them and was offered $72.00 to release them from all liability. They expect me to accept this offer and by sigining the release, I am not allowed to file any other claims, complaints, statements or reports to the state, city, government, consumer group, public, media, internet, or credit card agency.
