DO NOT HIRE GLORIA CASILLAS to build your home in Rosarito Beach, Baja Mexico. This woman is a con artist. She will sweet talk you into believing that she will build you a home within 6 months and will attempt to have you make payments that will not match the work done. She will be really quick to convince you that her and her company and workers are professionals, but be aware, she is not a contractor and her workers are people that are not professionals. Early in our construction, we were very "impressed" with her fuent English/Spanish speaking strategies and her construction experience, only to be left with a project undone after one year into construction. Until we made the decision to finish our home ourselves, was our home completed. After MANY trips from the U.S. to Mexico with materials to finish our home, materials in which WE PAID for, did we finally get the job done. This woman took advantage of the fact that we were AMERICANS living in the U.S. and were not living closeby to supervise her construction. Realizing that she was ignoring our attempts to contact her, we decided to head to Mexico WEEKLY in order to monitor construction. At this time we realized that the workers who initially were hired to start the construction were no longer on the job site due to non-payment from Gloria Casillas. Basicallly, they walked off the job after not being paid. Then came in new workers, who did mediocore work, and they too were never paid so they walked off as well. Once we realized her cycle of deception, we decided to protect our investment by heading to Mexico to complete our home ourselves. We hired new workers, paid their salaries ourselves, and completed our home. Gloria never returned our numerous phone calls, blantantly ignored our e-mails, and finally disconnected her cell phone when we left several messages regarding legal action. Gloria NEVER returned to our job site once she had the bulk of our money. We also made a trip to CONSTRURAMA where we thought she was purchasing the building materials for our home and they too had an outstanding bill for us to pay because she NEVER paid them for the building materials she ordered. To date, we suspect the materials for our home may have been used for another construction site. Once our home was completed, our roof leaked leaving us with water damage due to the inadequate construction her workers had previously done. We hired new roofers to complete a whole new roof. Again, more money out of our pockets. During our final stages, we also noticed that the paint we purchased for our home was never used (we left this for her to give to the workers) as our exterior was never completely painted, the drains were never properly constructed (we had a MAJOR FLOOD during the rainy season) which left more water damage, and our sliding glass doors we purchased were broken at installation, doors which were promised by her for replacement and never were. As of today, there are still a handful of "projects" never completed that we are taking care of as we go along. Do not hire her or her associates to do anywork for you. Gloria Casillas is a scam artist. Nina Munoz, Santa Ana, California U.S.A.
