Our credit rating was restored by GMAC. Two days after posting the unfair credit reporting I was contacted by someone from GMAC in the "Executive" office. She thankfully was very concerned about the negative report on "Rip Off report. com" . I explained that earlier that am I was told by one of her companies customer service rep's that the false report of a late pymt on our mtg would be removed within " 30 Days!" I told her I would be happy to update this as resolved but that thirty days would not be soon enough! The late pay dropped our credit score 100 points during a time my credit would be checked by a future employer. She said she would make it happen ASAP, two weeks later we were notified the false late pay had been removed and our score restored. I wonder though...if I had not placed this concern with the BBB and "RipOff Report" would GMAC have cared? Their customer service reps sure were in no hurry! hmmm... I guess better than no response at all. I spent three days making calls and frustrated because of this whole situation.
