In an eBay transaction, this seller sold a Gene Hickerson autograph with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) authentication sticker.  JSA has reviewed the signature and determined it is not authentic.  JSA further states that the authentication sticker was not authorized.  Seller refuses to issue a refund.

 1. Seller was provided documentation showing the item was in the hands of JSA for most of the time in question. 2. Seller was unable to provide proof authenticity sticker was applied by JSA. JSA states they have never put a sticker on a Hickerson Goal Line Art. 3. JSA could not release an item from its control with an unauthorized authentication sticker. 4. Seller's posting contained information determined to be false such as the item was signed by Hickerson and this signature was authenticated by JSA. Seller does not accept responsibility for these false statements. 5. JSA, experts in the autograph arena, state that sellers of items that are determined not to be authentic will usually accept responsibility for the items they sold and issue a refund. The public needs to be aware of the seller's business practices.

This item was sold through our Ebay store.  We have a 14 day return policy. The item was purchased on 6-25-2012. The customer received the item on 6-28-2012. We heard nothing about any  issue with the item for twenty-three (23) weeks, when on 12-05-2012, the customer contacted us via email.

We do not put stickers of  authenticity on anything. We bought this item from a different customer in our  store with the JSA SOA sticker on the item. JSA guarantees that anything with it's sticker on it is authentic, and if they do not now recognize  it as authentic, then they are breaking their own guarantee.

In a period of time such as 23 weeks, it is impossible to tell what, if  anything may have been done to the item in question, and the customer  told us that the sticker is no longer on the item. Without the sticker,  this isn't the same item that the customer bought from us. We cannot  offer a refund on an item that has been altered, and we cannot refund  money for items that were bought more than five months earlier, and no  retail company that I know of will give a refund after that period of  time.
