Golden Harvest Company Total FRAUD. Insult clients when refund which never arrives, is requested. RIPOFF Pleasanton California
I sent in a "100% refund guaranteed" fee of $99 to have this company match me with potential lenders. They promise a 97.9% success rate, but guarantee a 100% refund if you are turned down by all 6 lenders, or if one of the lenders does not loan in your area.
I was declined by 5 of the lenders, the 6th did not loan where I live. Their requirements for a refund is a letter requesting a refund, and copies of all 6 letters declining your loan. I sent in all of the required documents.
They do have a disclaimer that refunds could take 15-30 days to process. After 30 days, I emailed the company (because they DO NOT have a phone number you can call). I stated that I had mailed my refund request (along with all the supporting documentation) the first of November, ensuring that my refund would arrive around the first week of December (that way I could use the money to help with Christmas expenses).
I told them that as it had already been 30 days, I was preparing to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Oakland. I received a very rude, very unprofessional email, which stated, "It is up to the banks involved to issue credits. Sometimes after we issue the credit on our system, it can take the banks another 7-10 days to proces.
We issued credit on Dec. 2nd. Your demands are meaningless. Especially since you are low enough to use your children as pawns. Very sad."
Today is December 8, 2005, and my bank shows absolutely no credit posting to my account, not even one pending.
Consumers would do better to just do an internet search for lenders. Every lender included in the 6 referrals I received from Golden Harvest was one to which I had already applied by doing an internet search. But, in order to get my money refunded, I had to wait on all of the original letters declining my application arrived in the mail, so I could make copies and send Golden Harvest (which can take up to 30 days, even more time before you can get a refund, IF they honored them).
All Golden Harvest is, is a high-tech way to prey on people desperate to get a guaranteed loan. They do nothing more than an internet search for lenders (something the consumer could do themselves) and lie about their refund policy. They are thieves. I plan to file with the Better Business Bureau of Oakland, California, the bureau presiding over Pleasanton, and also file a claim in Small Claims Court where I live in Florida.
