Golden Star Realty Jimmy Moody Short Sale Scam, Fake MLS, be aware! Cerritos California
On Sept of 2016, a short sale listing was posted on MLS, the property address is 1640 Range Court, Diamond Bar, CA 91765. They even held a fake open house, but no one there, instead they placed a notepad for people to write down their name and contact. A mid age woman was inside, but would not open the door, just said "register your name and phone number" by pointing to the notepad. On Oct 19,2016, a realtor named himself Jimmy Moode called us our offer was accepted, made us wire them $21,000.00 deposit. On December, 2016 they sent us the bank approval, tried to have us to wire the rest of the payment. Because the whole deal was too good to be true, and the "escrow" company sounds very suspicious, we held off the wiring, instead we digged more, found that Jimmy Moody was a deceased real estate agent but the license was still active at the time. During the whole time, there was a female posted herself as the escrow officer and male RE agent who we highly suspect was Mario Gonzales!
