Gold's Gym ripoff Did not refund my registration fee Medford Massachusetts
Hi,
I registered for Gold Gym in Medford,MA during the month of March 2006. They were not yet open, but they ran a promotion that the first 100 customers who register will pay $40 as membership fee with a free first month and their monthly payments for a year will remain $40. The Gym was not supposed to be opened until July 2006.
They also mentioned that in the promotion that if you want to cancel your membership before the gym opened, the membership feewill be refunded.
I cancelled my membership in May 2006 but they have not refunded me my money. I have called them atleast 50 times, sent them a detailed letter; they have not taken any action for either of it. When I call, they will ask me to call back later or will take down my number and the manager will call me back only to put me on a hold or to tell she'll call me back sometime later.
This is continuing until now. I feel that I am cheated and hence I want to report it.
