Gold's Gym Don't believe anything they say Spanish Fork, Utah
Gold's Gym lied to us and deceived us. We should have waited. They told us we could freeze our account and we wouldn't be charged anything when we moved away for seasonal work. Obviously they charged us. We were also told if we moved out state (which we were considering doing in the near future) we could cancel since they wouldn't be able to provide services for us. We have since moved and now they're trying to charge us a cancellation fee.
We agreed to pay the cancellation fee of $100 but now they are charging us for 2 months of service that we owe even though we moved out of state more than 2 months ago. They can't transfer our membership over to another state so we have no choice but to cancel. It's frustrating that businesses like Gold's gym try to get money whatever way they can. It's super disappointing.
When I called the corporate office in utah (801) 426-8644 I talked to 2 young girls who you can tell have to official training and who don't care about customer service. They were super unhelpful and seemed bugged by me even calling. I guess I probably interrupted them from facebooking or texting. If you have to call corporate and end up talking to Jordan (a girl) and Kayla just hang up and try someone else. It's not worth it. And good luck trying to get a hold of the supervisor (Rachel). Apparently it's confidential information. How ridiculous. I've never heard of a company who doesn't let you speak with the supervisor.
