On October 31 2012, I purchased a warranty from Got Warranty Inc thinking that it would be the best decision for my aging Dodge Magnum (2006). After having the warranty for a while, my car was in need of a costly repair. Of course, I contacted my "warranty" company because I was certain they would foot the bill (at least that's what my vehicle service agreement stated) minus the $100 deductible (that I'm responsible for). When my repairman ( from a Dodge Dealership) said that Got Warranty was not paying for the $1000 repair, I was FLOOORED....SPEECHLESS! So when I called the warranty company, they pretty much gave me a song and dance as to why they were not going to pay to repair my car. I was upset but what could I do? The 2nd time my car needed a repair (this was an $800), my claim was denied AGAIN! I was upset but I had to get over it! At this point I thinking, "Well what will they pay for?" Obviously, it's not what they printed and stated in my Vehicle Service Agreement. Again, I'm left wondering, "What can I do?" Finally, my car broke down a little over a week ago (drive shaft). I had it towed to the Dodge Dealership ( same repair shop that's been providing service to my Magnum for 3yrs) . The repair cost is a little over $1600 Again, my warranty company was called because it PLAINLY states that the drive shaft is covered under this warranty! AND AGAIN, I WAS DENIED... well not completely denied. They did say they would pay a little over $280 towards a $1600 repair. WHAT???? Their reason for this was that the drive shaft would give me an indication by vibration ( when driving the vehicle ) that there's failure in one of its components (the " U joint" as the warranty company stated). After talking to one got warranty representive after another , it was determined and restated to me (rudely) that $280 would be all they would pay. My Dodge repairman refuted their inspector's findings (which were that the drive shaft failed due to neglect). Dodge told Got Warranty Inc that 95% of drivers would not experience any symptoms or have any indication that the drive shaft was going to fail. However, his argument with Got Warranty Inc went no where. I can understand why their inspector's word trumps the Dodge Dealership's word. I mean they do specialize in repairing Dodge cars and trucks! I'm going to fight this company! They can't get away with taking my $2589 and not providing any of their contracted services. What makes it so bad, I paid the warranty off nearly a year in advance! DO NOT USE GOT WARRANTY INC! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND LEAVE YOU HIGH AND DRY!
