The remote control for my GPX TD2420W is not working, so I called the company for a replacement.  Firstly the person who answered told me that I was giving the incorrect model number.  This was not true.

They asked me to check the back of the TV and call later, even though I was reading the model from the remote control.  I had to find the manual and called back.  Of course, was the same model number I already gave him during my first call.

They told me that I need to buy a new TV set, because they no longer carry that TV model; and of course they do not have any remote control to use in that model.

I thought it was a joke, but is not... because my remote is not working, the only way to solve the situation is buying a new TV set, which is working perfectly.

I really do not understand this kind of "customer service".  Sadly my warranty al ready expired.  They were even charging me for the new TV set more than the one being sold in Brandsmart.

I am a retired person with a fixed budget, do not have means to buy something that I do not need just because the manufacturer decided not to carry any parts for one of their devices.
