My wife worked for this University and loved her job. She was there for four years and loved helping students enroll. She had various managers and directors along the way . Most of them were stable and some were not. As in any sales type of job there is pressure to keep the numbers up and pressures on degreed proffessional enrollment counselors can be demanding. my wife handled the pressure as well as any normal person right up to the end when she got tranfered into a department with a manager that is notorious for filing false complaints about emplyees to have them fired. When she was done with my wife there was nothing left. My wife was discriminated against because she had a disability. She had mild siezures and this did not affect her ability to perform her duties. she saw her doctor regulaly and took her medication like she was supposed to. There is nothing Christian about GCU if they can keep managers like thhe one who fired my wife around and continue to treat employees like dirt. My wife is eligible for rehire but they put a block on her getting back in and denied her pension. We are now struggling to make ends meet and my wife is stil unemployed. NOT a Christian University. This is not an opinion this is the truth.

He is correct. If GCU is a Christian college, by the way has anyone heard the CEO speak? He is the most racist, pathetic, disgusting piece of garbage that ever walked the face of the earth- he might as well come out and say he is with the Arian Nation... If GCU is a Christian College then I would rather join a terrorist group before ever converting to Christianity. Christianity is selfish, consuimng, grotesque, manipulative, deceptive, and down right nasty! This I learned from Brian Mueller and the operations management team in Tempe. File with the EEOC.

You really have to give the details of this $50,000 "package" they are deying your wife. First of all it was a pension, now it is some severence package that she was supposed to get because it was Grandfathered in because of her disability. But I will say if you have proof that she is entitled to this money then get a lawyer, for $50,000 it is worth it.
But there is one other let's just say Interesting contradiction.
You originally stated...
She had mild siezures and this did not affect her ability to perform her duties.
But in your update you stated
Her manager did not like her because she had siezures and would have to take breaks once in a while
Perhaps she had to take more than just a break "once in a while" and it WAS affecting her job.

They train people to do things they will fire them for later if they want to. Its a catch 22. They tried to say she manipulated leads and didn't like her tone of voice over the phone. They used questionable arbitration tactics to fire her. Her manager did not like her because she had siezures and would have to take breaks once in a while. Of all the managers she ever had not one ever complained she was a bad employee only the turn and burn lady. Where her department got disolved she got transferred to the turn and burn manager and got turned and burned. Way to show yyou really care about your employees likje Christians. You should read their mission statement. They definately went against it totally .

Not pension severence package was denied $50.000.00 . Railroaded her right out of it, The manager just towed the line for a higherer up who wanted to get rid of any one who had the severence package grandfathered in due to a disability it was easy to railroad her out even though she was a good employee. They gave her back 401k at least but covered their butt by making her "eligible for re-hire" which is not really valid only on paper. brilliant scheme. Unconstitutional though.

Wow I guess things have changed as I have never heard of an employee being eligible for a pension after 4 years, usually it is about 20 years. So I would understand there might be something up if she was there for 19 years and 11 months and got fired...but after 4 years??? But anyways...exactly what is the reason they are denying her the pension?
How exactly was she discriminated against?
What were the lies that they told about your wife?
