When I began working for G.C.'s, I was of the opinion that asking clients for all this information was ridiculous, at best. However, I've been with the company for some time now, and must admit it is useful to both the staff, and the client. Personal information is NEVER given out or sold. We keep "technical notes" in each client's record. A successful G.C.'s has thousands upon thousands of clients in it's data base. Often times, several families with the same last name, same phone #'s (w/different areacodes-we don't ask for area codes), etc.. The street name is the thing that stands out when trying to locate the client in our system. A client MUST be in the system to be served, so if we can't "find" you, we must start at square one and create your file. This benefits all. People go to Great Clips for two reasons: 1) Convenience (no appt./ quick service) ... 2) Cheap, cheap, cheap! Well, we can only do "cheap" by doing many heads in minimal time. Not rocket science. Our tech notes, in your file, save so much time. We have immediate notification of your preferences, needs, cowlicks, growth patterns, problem areas, etc.. Basically, in the interest of serving you in the most timely and accurate fashion, your complete "profile" is necessary in our quest to maintain precise, and distinguished, records for our clients.
