Greenwood Recovery or should I say Greenwood "CHOP SHOP" are paid by auto finance companies such as HSBC Auto Finance to come retrieve your vehicle and then basically do as they wish with the vehicle, tags on the vehicle, and YOUR personal belongings. My car was towed by this company. After returning from work, I pulled up to my complex, and noticed 3 strange men in the parking lot. It was night and that was scary.

These men looked me in my face and NEVER said anything to me at all such as "hey, we are here for your car could you take your things." Well, apparently they came back in the middle of the night and took the car without any notice. I basically tried for 3 days to get the car back(which was 50 miles from where I was)and it was a nightmare.

I paid that next morning to get it back, but it took 2 more days for them to "make me an appointment" to get the car. When I got there, I waited for an hour for them to bring my car. A friend was with me and was outside waiting. She noticed that my car was being lined up to go onto a truck to auto auction...JUST AFTER 3 DAYS! They were rushing to put my tag back onto the car.

Mind you, all my personal belongings were in the car; my wallet GPS, and other things. Anyway, they pull the car up, and I notice the tag hanging off on one side. I asked the man why was it off. He replied to me that they do not take tags off the car.....HMMMMM then why was it off???? he then hands me a bag with my valuable, which was a small grocery bag.

i looked around my car and the custom grill had been cu, ripped out and random wires had been hanging. the bumper was messed up and I am missing one of the fog lights. The custom paint on the car was also scratched as well. I get in and start the car, and there is only a 1/4 tank of gas. The tank was full when the car was taken.

Not only that, a pair of my work sunglasses were on the dashboard and my new bag of candy sitting in the seat had ben opened and eaten!!! I understand if the job needed to be done but this sounds a little SUSPECT. I just wish I knew what to do about it. I think that was far too excessive to ruin someone's vehicle that they still have to pay for.
