Groiler Books sent me a package back in July 2001 I never opened it because I never requested books from them. With no intentions to keep the package I simply wrote please return to sender. I thought that was it done and over. But they sent me a bill a month later $6.98 Now Due!! Ignored it ,and continued to ignore it Until now Jan 18 2002. And now I am pissed now I have received a letter from a collection agency stating i now owe $12.86 !!!!!!!!!!!! The lesson I learned go to post office and send it back with a certified letter .

I recieved adds re:"Help me be good" books by The Groiler book co.It said, 2 free books and book bag;if not happy send back in 10 days @ No Charge or keep and recieve 1 more in 2 weeks. I decided these books were too young for 9-11yr old boys and too old for our 6 month old. I paid for the two books and sent a letter declining to recieve any more books, not interested letter; a note saying thank you anyway and maybe at another date. Groiler books mailed me the rest of the books anyway and then started billing us for $38.00 and something cents? The company proceeded to mail us 25 books and start billing us anyway. I never opened the package, just mailed it right back with a letter in an envelope taped on to (very well) stating we paid for the 2 books and are not interested and to keep these books and do not send ANY more books again; that we were NOT interested. Ilooked for a phone # after recieving 3 more differant bills and " NO " resonse to my initial letter that included the check for the two books we kept (that were supposed to be FREE).T he Groiler book company had cashed the check for the two books and book bag but kept billing us anyway for future books we never ordered or wanted regardless of our letters. We even sent them one letter with the chek # that they had cashed and STILL they gave "NO" response; now started calling our house re: our (according to them) delinquent account. Finally my husband got on the internet and e-mailed them a letter stating we were being harrassed for books we never ordered and to get this cleared up right away. This all started in June of 2002. We recieved a phone call last week regarding money we (according to them) owe on our (so called delinquent account)of books we don't even have. Today, November 26th 2002, I recieved another call from them re: the same thing, I went over and over all of the hassle they've put us through and that it had been the first time I'd ever said yes to a "FREE" book from the mail and would NEVER do it again due to the awful experience they have been putting us through and when would they please stop harrassing us? If they continue we will be pressing charges (if possible) for harrassment! Groiler books has a bad response system to the customers they advertise/and or sell to. They give NO phone #'s for anyone to call (exactly what they want)with any questions or complaint's yet have your # to call and ask for $ you don't owe them over and over. I will never order any type of anything thru the mail after my experience with Groiler Books.
