Started off well. Put in new power drop with permit. However, he didn't get a permit to install new wire or change kitchen wiring. I didn't know this until the end.

He wired certain things but didn't label them in the breaker box. He ran wires that he left unconnected in the attic. Insulation was blown in before he finished in the attic, despite my warnings it was going to be done. He had the map "in his head".

I was given an offer on the house and asked that he finish as soon as possible. He showed up once to hookup the remaining wires and apparently forgot where the wires went. He assured me that all the work would be completed soon.

He asked me if I could possibly give him the final payment so he wouldn't carry the books over to the new year. After extracting his solemn promise that he would finish, I paid him.

Mr. Romero showed up one day to work on the house while the new owners were there. They reported to me that Mr, Romero packed up and left in tears, babbling that he had to leave.

When I called to find out what was wrong, he told me that he had a quadraplegic daughter that was hours from death. No one under the age of 45 named Romero has died from then until now.

When my closing date neared, none of my calls were returned. I was forced to hire another electrician to finish the job. They informed me that a permit was never taken out on the work.

The new electrician and I discovered dangerous and shoddy work. We traced every wire and outlet and discovered many violations that we had to correct.

When I wrote a certified letter to him, it was refused. I as lucky enough to contact him once and asked him what was going on.He said his wife was having a nervous breakdown and couldn't respond yet.

I wrote another letter and he responded that since I had given him the check, his work was done and refused to rebate any of the money.

Mr. Romero played on my sympathy and manipulated me. I am very embarrased and angry about being duped. I am out the money he collected and for the new electrician.
