GT Transportation, AKA Good Times Transportation, GT Transport, GT illegal taxi service, uninsured, unlicensed, no taxi permits Kissimmee-Orlando area Nationwide
The Taxi company known as GT Transportation has been running illegally for several years. This taxi company has drivers who are using their own personal vehicles to transport people. There are no taxi permits, the vehicles are not marked, they do not carry business insurance, and they are not a licensed taxi service. There are no meters in the cars, they charge a flat rate for service.
This company operates out of local resorts, Orlando International Airport, the Disney parks, Universal Studios, just to name a few places. They operate in the following cities in Florida: Kissimmee, Clermont, Davenport, Lake Buena Vista, Orlando--this is the general area.
There are times when the owner of the company, who also drives a vehicle to transport people, will charge the patrons for a round trip...and the people will not always be at the pick up location at the specified time and the driver gets mad and leaves. When they call, he states that he was waiting and that they have to find another taxi, and he does not give them their money back.
While their rates are generally tolerable, there are some instances that are just rediculous...would you be willing to pay $50 for a one way trip to go 5 1/2 miles up the road to your destination, a mere 13 minute drive? I didn't think so. Or, how about $15 one way to go literally 1 1/2 miles, a 5 minute or less drive?
The main owner of the company has a horrendous driving record and also has a felony for dumping hazerdous waste in a federally protected reserve, and was arrested and fined for this.
Please, don't waste your time using this company, find another taxi who is legal, licensed, insured, and reputable.
