Guardsman Furniture Protection fraud, scam! Grand Rapids Michigan
We purchased a sofa in June 2015 with the advise of the salesperson we also purchased a gold 5 year guardsman protection plan that supposedly would cover any damages, stains and mechanisms, when the cushions started to lose the stitching a claim was filed 3 weeks later I had a message to call them, when calling in and speaking to a rep first off she was really rude and answered the phone with a sigh like she was being bothered, then she proceeded to tell me the sofa had a manufacturer defect and it was not covered, after 2.5 years this is not a defect it is clearly damage from everyday use wear and tear which is supposed to be covered, the argued with me and said it was not covered, I then said I will require my money back that I paid for the BS plan so that I could call someone else to get it fixed, she again was very rude and basically said good luck, I told her that they were a scam and hung up on them, I later received a email stating that part of the damage was covered, they sent someone out to look at it and tooks lots of pictures to submit, I told the company they will fix all or none or refund my money! I am still waiting for hell to freeze over! stay far away from this company they are a fraud and a scam, I will never do business again with Guardsman/valspar cabot or plasti kote and what ever other products this garbage company makes!
