GUCCI-ARMANI-A.C.R.G.A. BOSS Sob story about losing money gambling and has suit and jackets at huge discount to get money to go home. Dante Milano Italy
This story is the same as others I have seen posted. I have to chalk it up to an unfortunate learning experience I'm sad to say. I look for the best in people and can usually spot a phoney. This guy was good. Good accent, showed me a passport and business card. Anyone who sees this guy should get his picture and write down all the passort info, maybe it is real.
This guy approached me approached me in front of Washington Mutual Bank in Mill Valley, Ca. He asked me if I spoke Italian as I looked like him. Right. I'm of Irish decent. He had this sob story about losing $4,000 last night because he was drinking and gambling. He even had a casino chip. He said he was on the way to the airport and needed money to pay for the rental car, a late model silver SUV, and to buy his daughter a laptop. He offered to sell me a suit at full price and he would throw in 4 jackets. I tried one on and it didn't look too bad. I am sorry to say I fell for the whole thing as he seemed very genuine.
After I got the goods home I was pretty sure I had been ripped off as the goods were of obvious cheap quality. He said he would call when he came back in ten days to give me back some money as I did not want all his goods. No call of course so I plugged the info into an internet search and guess what. I was not alone. My heart sunk when I say all the other victums. Oh well, I believe what goes around comes around so time will tell.
