American Cancer Aid Foundation, Guest List, People Helping People RIPOFF! All the customers are requesting their money back. Garden City New York
This is in response to the scam from the American Cancer Aid Foundation, People Helping People and The Guest List. It seems obvious to all of us we have been dupped!
I had purchased 20 vouchers for $20 a piece and given them to some of our customers. The customers had paid the additional $20 to register on the "The Guest List". The customers were so excited to get these airline tickets from us, and thanked us repeatedly. They were given out in August.
It is now January and all the customers are requesting their money back. So now I have to refund all their money back to the customers. What a very embarassing situation. I had called People Helping People and of course got a recording, I have emailed them and of course no response. I have searched for websites for the American Cancer Aid Foundation and came up empty.
So this is a very expensive lesson to learn. Every mother around the nation has told their children "If it seems to good to be true, IT IS!" You would think we would listen, No! some of us just have to learn the hard way.
I know one thing, someone better stop them from taking advantage of people. It is very expensive to learn from stupidity. In the mean time, I'll learn the lesson, chalk it up to experience, and next time listen to the advice my mother gave me.
