Gunbroker.com GB Holdings Ripped off by Gunbroker.com and they don't care Atlanta Internet
I tried 8 times to activate my sellers account (in early-August).
A page came up each time saying that a failure was encountere dactivating my card, ie my address was incorrect or the CCC number was wrong.
My card is used on several other auction sites and has
had no trouble being authorized on other auction sites since this
event.
I contacted my cc company and even attempted to activate the account while I had their authorization department on the phone. They said there is nothing wrong on their end of the system. GunBroker says there is nothing wrong on gunbroker's end of the system. My card was instantly charged the 1.00 activation fee for each of the
eight times. Gunbroker has my money and still I don't have a sellers account.
I've been waiting 30 days to get my eight dollars back or have my seller's account manually activated, which is an option spelled out
on their website.
After approximately 10 exchanges of messages with gunbroker and waiting for a refund for 30 days, I sent another message asking
for an update on the status of my account.
I just received the reply from Gunbroker:
"I am sorry, but your credit card issuing bank is notifying us that they are not able to validate the security code on your credit card. This may be a technical problem on their end or it may be that you
are trying to place a credit card on file that we cannot accept, like a gift card or debit card. I cannot determine that so you will need to contact your credit card issuing bank to determine the problem"
They totally ignored the prior correspondences and started the customer service process all over again.
Very frustrating and I'm sure I'll never see the eight dollars again. Gunbroker just lost a customer due to your lack of concern.
