Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I sell gun parts for a living online. Some of my products are restricted in some States, so I do not ship those items to States that have restrictions because that would be illegal. Obviously!

If you list an item for sale on gunbroker.com, you have no control of who buys it. You can't prevent people from illegally bidding on your item. I believe that is gunbroker.com's responsibility.

As a seller, you can only block bidders after they bid, you have no way of blocking out illegal bid attempts! gunbroker should implement the software to fix that problem.

Example : If gunbroker.com auctioned alcohol,( they don' auction alcohol) would they be rsponsible to make sure that the alcohol was only sold to adults old enough(21), or could they just let anyone by alcohol on auction?

This report is going to be a series of questions for gunbroker.com, so they can respond to my questions, and answer publically, and be held accountable for their policies, procedures, and business practices. It will also give gunbroker.com an opportunity to explain their customer support policies and procedures.

Why does gunbroker charge auction fees on transactions that are reported as illegal? Why dont they have software that prevents illegal bidding/transactions in the first place?  Why aren't the auction fees refunded on illegal transactions?

How is it legal to profit from an illegal transaction?

How much money in auction fees has gunbroker collected in illegal transactions? Will those fees be refunded?

Why doesn't gunbroker.com attempt to prevent illegal transactions with software that would block people from bidding on products that is illegal to be shipped to their location? Online distributors do that in the firearms industry, why doesnt gunbroker?

Why doesn't gunbroker have customer support  contact information, such as email address, and phone numbers available for its memebers?

Why does gunbroker.com ignore issues reported to them?

Why doesn't gunbroker.com give the name of the person in customer support, that is handling your support isssue? even when requested?

Why doesn't gunbroker.com give out customer support contact information when requested? Why are those requests ignored?

Is it gunbroker.com's policy to avoid direct contact, via email, or phone with customers requesting customer support?

Doesn't gunbroker have a moral and legal responsibility to protect its sellers from buyers who attempt illegal transactions? Or from people making illegal sales?

Example, If I list my products for sale on gunbroker.com and 10 people decided to buy them illegally, I cant stop them!I can't prevent that as a seller, only gunbroker can control the auction like that! Those transactions would be posted on the internent, even though I never completed the transactions and reported those transaction attempts to gunbroker as illegal transactions. That policy could destroy my business, and make people think I operate illegally, which I do not. Those transactions should of been prevented from happening in the first place, by gunbroker.com in my opinion! Its slander and liable in my opinion for gunbroker.com to post  ended auctions that were illegal online, that the selller did not complete the transaction and reported it. There is no way for the seller to protect his reputation or prevent illegal transactions, other than to stop using gunbroker.com, which is in fact, what I did!

If gunbroker.com auctioned off alcohol, would they be responsible to make sure those transactions were legal? IF so, why not on High capacity magazines, guns, and ammunition?

I reported gunbroker.com to the federal authorities! I am a life member of the NRA! I dont like the new gun laws that take the rights and freedoms away of law abiding citizens. Ben Franklin basically said any nation who gives up liberty for freedom, doesnt deserves neither freedom or security. I agree with that! With that said, I do make every effort to obey the laws in my everyday life and in my business. I feel gunbroker needs to be held accountable, both in public and in criminal court, on their policies and procedures. Some of which I believe to be illegal and highly un-ethical in my opinion.

I would like to thank the Rip off report, for not deleting my other ripoff report, even after I requested them to delete it. Gunbroker.com responded to my first rip off report via a phone call and they told me that my report hurt my business and we should move forward. When I asked him about Why gunbroker.com charges auction fees on auctions that are reported as illegal, he responded by saying" If we did that , then everyone would report all auctions as illegal transactions to avoid paying auction fees" That is  not an exact quote, but does represent what he said. I think that answer is absurd! At that time, I had over 350 active auctions on gunbroker, and I felt intimidated and pressured to try and get my rip off report removed. Gunbroker did not tell me to directly get it removed. I told them I couldnt get it removed, and the gunbroker, rep said he thought I could,so it is obvious that was on his mind, at the very least. How else would he know that, if he didnt previously think about it? He mentioned my feedback, and seemed to use that to get me to remove or delete my rip off report. He didnt directly say, delete the rip of report, and I will remove all your negative feedback, he isnt that stupid.

After my last rip off report, gunbroker.com called me on the phone as I stated above, and gave me contact information, and he asked me to contact him anytime I had Issues. I did that, and he never responded to my emails.

I had another issue with gunbroker. I made a mistake and I listed an item I needed to get $379 for, for 1-penny accidentally, and that item sold for far less than $379. Auctions are legally binding agreements, so I contacted the buyer, and told him the auction was an accident and I asked him to let me out of the auction, and he agreed too. I cancelled the order on the gunbroker checkout system, and created a support issue and asked for a refund on my auction fee and I explained to gunbroker that my listing was an accident. Gunbroker.com refused to credit my auction fee and pointed to their rule! I feel they are hypocrits! IF gunbroker.com accidentally forgot to charge listing fees for a couple million transactions, would they let that go, or would they charge it to the members?  People make mistkakes, and legal transactions are not governed by gunbroker, that I am aware of, espcecially when both parties agree to change the agreement. Gunbroker has no legal right to deny them from changing a legal transaction, that I am aware of. Gunbroker, could easily see, that I dont list penny auctions, and can easily see it was an accident. The buyer realized it was an accident too, and he agreed to let me out of the auction. Gunbroker could of contacted the buyer too, and use taht information in a response tomy support issue and request fora refund on my listing fee, but they didn't. All they do is refer to rules, and policies, and change the satus of the support isue to "Issue resolved"

I believe gunbroker.com's customer support, to be the worst I have ever encountered.

I also believe some of gunbrokers policies and provedures to be illegal and criminal. That is my opinion, and I have reported gunbroker.com to the authorities.

These are some of my opinions based on my experience selling products on gunbroker.com

I no longer sell my products on gunbroker.com based on how they handle customer support issues!

This company should have a FFL license and a tax. number or other such numbers is my understanding of a company like this. Why not get ahold of the right people and have them audited? Maybe even the FBI, if firearm parts or complete weapons go to places not allowed. Company's should be held accountable for their actions just as we are. This is my personal opinion and suggestions.
