H & R BLOCK RAL Scandal Taylor Michigan
On Thursday January 15, 2009 I went to a H&R Block office to get my taxes done. I choose to go with the RAL which is a tax loan. I choose this option because I needed the money really bad. The RAL is suppose to be given to you in 1-2 days that is what it says in the contract over and over again. Not business days. The IRS did not start filing federal until January 16, 2009. I was told that I would have my money Saturday the 17th. I did not receive my money.
I called the office that I had my taxes done at and they said either Monday or Tuesday. WOW! That's not 1-2 days. That's 4-5 days. I paid over $300.00 total to have this money ASAP. I did not argue with the manager I just asked for a refund. She told me NO REFUNDS.
I then called the corporate office and they told me to call HSBC bank. I could not talk to a live personnel, a voice automated machine directed me to bogus website. All I want is a refund, because I did not pay for the service that I am receiving. What a rip-off. The economy is hurting to bad and no one deserves to be ripped off.
