Hair Club For Men ripoff, fraudulent advertising, misrepresentation, dishonesty, blatant lies Raleigh North Carolina
I, too, am a victim of the Hair Club For Men. The television ads are so impressive. They actually give hope to people with hair loss problems. The sales person with whom I met fed me with so many lies and misrepresentations that I feel embarassed and humiliated to admit my vulnerability. She adamantly discouraged me from opting for the grafting procedure or a partial. She promised me that I would be oh, so happy with a full head of hair. I explained to her that I have a disability with my hands and that it is so difficult for me to maintain my hair. She said that I could get hair that was naturally straight or curly and that it would require virtually no maintenance. She also stated that the hair would last for a year. When I met with a stylist she stated that the hair would have to be replaced sooner than that. I should have walked out of the office then. Hindsight!!!!
I was told that I could get my hair (HCM hair) permed and dyed. When that mess of hair finally arrived, I was told that it could be permed or dyed, but not both. This mess of hair requires 75% more maintenance than my own hair. That virtually worthless glue lasts for about two or three weeks (around the edges). The stylist kept asking me to sign up for a program. First of all, the sales person lied about the price of the most basic program. I have wigs that cost a mere fraction of the cost of this hair and they look 100% better. The programs don't even include the over-priced shampoos and conditioners. The stylist blamed my well water on the terribly poor condition of the hair. Yeah, right! There products are supposed to, according to them, correct any problem.
After less than six months and shedding hair everywhere, I cut that mess off my head. What a waste of money and time. Something needs to be done about this fraudulent company. I will never deal with them again and I plan to tell everyone I meet about my miserable experience. I was definitely ripped off!!!!!
