Harlan Cone tricked me into providing services as an officiant to a wedding couple who had already paid him a flat "fee." He issued me a check AFTER the wedding, asked me to hold it for a few days (which I did), and then when the check bounced, claimed that his account had been compromised so he had closed it. He assured me he had mailed me a replacement check, which of course never arrived. Several calls later, I realize I have been taken.
I am certain that he marked up my fee (which is modest) considerably. My real concern is the wedding couple, who I am afraid will be very unhappy with the quality of the photography that Harlan Cone provided. I am familiar with photography equipment, and I could not help but notice that his seemed unprofessional and low end. I do not Harlan Cone's reprehensible behavior to be associated with my services, which I strive hard to keep first rate.
This man is a black eye to the wedding industry as a whole. He needs to be held accountable for his actions.
