Harris County Toll Authority Runs a Ripoff in Houston, Texas
I am from Louisiana,,,we have no tolls, But that doesn't mean I don't pay them,,,,when there is booth, I stop,..In Harris County there is a Hwy , I would suggest you avoid! I was attending a doctor's apt. and was quite lost in the biggest city I have ever driven through in my life.....My phone's GPS told me to go left,,,so I did....and then found myself on some road you can't easily get off of.....which actually brought me out of my way by 45 mins!!!
I get home and find out that I was fined for using that road!!!I just do NOT understand having to pay for something I didn't know existed. Something that almost made me late....something that only a local would understand,,,,and something that I was apparently supposed to know how it worked coming from a small city.,,,not to mention driving 50+ miles per hours was supposed to be able to read warnings of!!!
DON'T EVEN TRY TO CALL TO SETTLE,,,,the extremely polite staff will only tire you and run up your phone bill for naught....
