Headlights Depot refused to honor warranty Pompano Beach Florida
I purchased a set of headlights for my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 that was being restored for new paint and new interior by two different shops. The process took just over two months to complete. I purchased the headlights and other parts well in advance of the actual restro project to avoid any future problems or slow downs. After the restoration was complete I installed the new headlights and discovered the adjustments for the high/low beam did not function at all. I called Headlight Depot's Pompano Beach store and was told the warranty had expired. I explained that I had purchased new parts for the restore project well in advance to avoid any slow downs in work and had just installed the lights. The guy at Headlights Depot in so many words said "screw you buddy" the 90 day warranty has expired. I then e-mailed the company for a resolution of the problem and the jerk Scott e-mailed back with the most (((Redacted))) nonsense regarding "company policy" I have ever seen. I then contacted the Federal Dept. of Transportation and asked for DOT certifacation, (which is on the product) and was told that the company did not have, nor have they applied for DOT Certifacation in the U.S. The numbers on the headlights are phoney and do not exist in government records! I again e-mailed Scott at headlights depot and as usual received a total b/s response. The name on the lights is "Eagle Eye" and are manufactured in Twiwan by a company with no rating or physical address available. The "Headlights Depot" in Pompano Beach, Fl. is a rip off. fly by night junk shop that not only sells phoney DOT lights, they are staffed by total jerks. I have begun the process to file charges with the State of Florida and State Sales Tax for an investigation of this company and it's staff members. Bottom line, do not do business with "Headlights Depot" they are a total Rip Off!
