Hellfire Club Studio Pictures and it's Director/Producer/Writer/etc. Shawn Anthony is a scam artist who takes advantage of actors with promises of exposure, payment for acting services and connections with large studios/distributers which are all fake.
The above statments we the circumstances of several productions, namely SOULMATE: Evil Never Dies. Shawn Anthony, who's real name is Shawn Watts, issued a casting call for actors under the pretenses that his film had all of the following:
1.) A distribution deal with Miramax 2.) A budget of $250,000 3.) That all roles were paid 4.) That he was an award winning director, stuntman, actor and had been in many big budget films such as UNDER SIEGE, TIME COP, THE CROW and others. All of these statements were a lie as confirmed by Miramax Studio upon inquiry; subsequent law suits which resulted in judgments against Shawn Watts (defendant) and other court/state records.
In addition to the verifiable statements above (via Maryland District Court Records and others), Hellfire Club Studio Pictures has solicited investors based upon the same untruths. Several other legal actions are pending. Beware of this studio and its head, Shawn "Anthony" Watts if you are an actor, production crew professional, investor or any other person associated with film/tv or other entertainment work.
