Helmets Ect. Ripped-off by a Motorcycle accessories internet store HELMETS ETC Port Orange, Florida
Purchased a 2 piece rain suit from Helmets ETC. on the internet. paid with a credit card. got a reply that they were processing my order. 10 days later i had not received my purchase, so i emailed the company and waited a week or two more. I sent a follow-up email again to the company and also tried to call the 1-800 number they provided, it was disconnected. The company never got back to me.
Tired of waiting, I contacted the Better Business Bureau of Florida, i emailed my complaint to them. I received an email from the BBB asking for 30 Days for them to contact the company and get back to me, before i did a trace with them.
I finally received a letter from the BBB, around the 1st of October 2009 The letter stated that they could do nothing for me because the company Helmets Ect. did not reply to them.
I would check the number of complaints filed against this compant before you did business with them. I lost about 60.00 dollars on this deal. I would never do business with this company again even if i received the product or my money back.
Before doing business over the internet. If the company does not use paypal, I will not do business with them.

You don't need Paypal to protect you. If you used a credit card, just dispute the charge with your credit card company. They will reverse the charge immediately, then the vendor will be given an opportunity to prove that the charge was valid and that you received what you ordered. Piece of cake.
The only downside is that you have a limited time to dispute a charge. It's 90 days with most banks.
