Approx. one year ago during a routine oil change, we noticed a thick black liquid in the cars radiator. It was thick and gooey and it wasnt normal. The car was runnning fine, wasnt overheating or anything, but i decided to take it in.

I took it to the dealer that I purchased it at there request. When I arrived at the car dealer they suddenly told me they could not work on Saturns and I would have to bring it to Des Moines, 100 miles away. Since I already took the car to them 4o miles, I told them they could get the car to Des moines. They gave me a loaner and I went home, Meanwhile the car was taken to Des Moines Satern and the mechanic there found a cracked engine block. He also said the engine was not abused and he could say that I never let the car go low on oil.

But when the people from heritage got there, they said it was my abuse of the car and they would not pay for anything. Period, end of discussion,

So here my car sits engine ripped up and me owing 200 dollars just to get it back, engine ripped up. Well being without tranportation and having no money, the company would not talk one the phone, but merely screamed into the phone when contacted. We will not pay for the repairs.

So to this day my 1999 saturn car with a mere 40,000 miles on it sits in the parking lot of Macke Moters in Lake City Iowa. The struggle to get to work everyday, 20 mile drive, has left me unable to save the needed money to fix the car. The purchase price of this warranty is supposed to be refunded after 4 years, I can't help but doubt they will find some reason not to do that.

But with no money to hire a lawyer, or fight for my rights, I sit a victim...

But it was maintained , it was my first decent car and my job depends on reliable transportation. Dont really know why my husband noticed the black crap in the radiater,.

Deb, What day/month/year did you buy car? What was the mileage at the time of purchase? How many LOF were preformed prior to the failure? Do you have receipts? What caused you or the mechanic to look into the radiator to notice think black liquid?
