hertz the hertz corporation;hertz car rental juneau,ak. upon arrival to procure rental car the business here in juneau airport added $146.00 dollars in fees to the confirmed price, would not call a manager, no reasonable explanation. juneau, Alaska
i arrived in juneau,ak. twenty-six days after reserving a rental car through hertz.com. the airport in juneau,ak. hertz counter did not care that I had a printed confirmation number and itemized quote,which included discounts through aaa, and a web coupon, and also listed airport fees, taxes,and surcharges.
The employee informed me the car rental for the week would cost @$146.00 more than the 366.56 usd quoted and itemized on my printed confirmation. I said what was he talking about and tried to show him the paperwork. he was not interested in looking at it as the system told him the price was $496. and change.
I asked for a superviser, and he told me no one was available, and only the amount in his system was going to do it. I asked at the other counters but nothing was now available under 15ft., as the car was also booked for the ferry to sitka with us.
It was more than obvious this is a scam they use often. luckily I was here for a family reunion and had an alternative ride, as I didnt have an extra $146.00 However, this lack of a vehicle ruined many synergistic facets of a complicated, expensive trip 3200 miles north from my home state.
