I purchased a lap top in December of 2006. The machine crashed in January of 2007. Eight days after the warranty period. Hp has gone the cheap way and do not include crash recovery discs. A small card in a sea of other small cards advises you to download and burn the recovery cd my mistake I did not. This is where it gets fun.

I called and spoke with gupta in bangledesh. She looked at my file and ordered the disc's which arrived in seven days. The disc's cost me thirty dollars not a big deal but great customer service sticking to a customer when he is down. Unfortunately she sent the wrong disc. Imagine being that inept. After six calls to customer service and at least fifty minutes of hold time I still dont have the disc. The last stupidvisor I spoke to wanted me to send another thirty dollars to cover the expense. After speaking to his boss and letting him know it was their mistake they waived the fee and were sending it out immediately.

Immediatley in the USA means today. In guptaland immediately might mean next week. I have included a link to Hewlet Packard. You can email the President his name is Mark Herd let him know what you think of my situation. Buy American and don't do business with companies who outsource jobs outside the USA. Wake up America.
