Was the warranty provided directly from HP or from elsewhere? Since it was only a 90 day warranty I take it that it's a refurbished unit. You failed to explain what exactly was wrong with the computer. Are you sure it was a manufacturer's defect and not user error? Typically warranties are activated the day or purchase, not the day you take delivery. Regardless if this was 20 minutes after the expiry or 20 years afterwards, you're still not covered. At the end of the day, I say that's what you get for buying the $299 refurb class C computer special on TigerDirect and not reading or understanding the warranty for your product. By the way, if HP/Compaq is such crap and always failed immediately after warranty coverage expired, why exactly did you buy yet a third computer from them?
