HFC has held our modification for two years--and we retained a lawyer. We recieved three phone scams from HFC from their office number," listed on my cell", offering a quick fix to our problem. This was at 5;45 on a friday , "all three times" , offering to "save" us if we sent them five thousand dollars. i actually called them back "on hfcs number listed in my cell phone" and useing the extention they gave me, talked to a pakistan banker. He even let me try to contact my lawyers knowing full well they wouldnt answer at 5:45 on a friday. He had to have the answer by 6pm.hfc is folding all over the country and will be purchased by chase along with hsbc who by the way, is hfc.hfc is a preditory lender and has had many suits against them for such. stay away and if your involved with hfc or hscb either refinance or hire a lawyer to review your contracts
