However, this person told you wrong. It can take as long as six weeks to have something repaired, depending on parts needed or services performed. Usually, if an item is in warranty, the biggest hold-up is not the service company nor hhgregg, but instead the warranty provider, be it the manufacturer (during the manufacturer's warranty) or GE (during an extended service plan). Usually this is due to a decision-making process where the manufacturer or GE makes a decision whether to actually repair the item or replace it. It can take a week or more for the warranty company to respond with a decision. That decision is not up to hhgregg or one of its service providers. And, honestly, communication between hhgregg and our providers could be better. You may find it hard to believe that we can't track your camera, but it is because in this situation, hhgregg is acting merely as a go-between between you and the repair shop. The authorized repair providers don't update us on status of service pieces as consistently as we'd like, coming from a store employee. The best bet for you would be to call hhgregg again and ask who is servicing your camera. I could tell you who it is in Indiana, but you're in SC, and I wouldn't know. Trust me, I have been in one of these repair shops. They are top-notch operations and work as hard as possible with the large workload they have.
