HHGREGG They refused to take away old washer after they were paid to do so ripoff Mentor Ohio
We went into this HHgregg store and purchased a new washing machine and paid the extra for delivery and for them to take away the old unit. once they came to deliver the new unit they refused to take the old unit away with them because there were 3 screws missing on the back of it and they said that they are not aloud to take old units that are in "pieces". our old unit was NOT in pieces there were only 3 small screws missing is all. and besides that it does not say anywheres in there own contract that they will not take a unit if the old unit is apart or in pieces at all!!
There contract states it is a one for one basis they bring "one" and they take "one"..... the manager of the store told me on the phone that he would send the delivery people back out the next day to pick it up but he did NOT do so.... so in the end i paid $69.95 for a delivery and set up that was suppose to include the removal of the old unit... For Nothing!!.... I could have just paid the standard $39.99 for just a delivery and set up and kept the other $30.00.... but Noooo someone in the company got to pockey my extra $30.00.
We will never shop at this company again and we will be sure to "put the word out" so all of the other people we know and the people they know and so on and so forth will not shop at this company either!.

If you did the 39.99 delivery, that is to just drop off at your house, unit still in box and would not be installed. I would suggest calling the call center, the number on your receipt and try again. Delivery is contracted seperatly from the store. If they won't come back, see if you can get delivery $ back-- BUT do this sooner than later if you want results. Believe me, this is important. Try it
